A proof-of-concept demo app was developed for indoor navigation in Macy's & Bloomingdale's department stores. The app leverages Bluetooth beacons and AR to provide accurate positioning and blue dot orientation.

The Opportunity
Macy's customers face difficulties locating items and navigating to fitting rooms and restrooms in stores. The vast range of offerings, outdated store signage, and limited guidance from store directories make it increasingly hard for shoppers to find what they want and navigate in stores.
The Solution
An indoor map experience available through the Macy's app, providing live orientation and step-by-step navigation to products and points of interest.
